Uh its hot because your closer to the Equator?

If you want cooler weather move to San Francisco,or further northwest,
or up near me in the Northeast, where we will be near freezing tonight, and I had to turn the furnace
on a week or so ago,Again,as the house was down to 64.

Its 60 f here now,
Its snowing in Michigan Now. October 4th 2004.

If you like Fall and Winter that much, then move.

I love AZ because i don't mind the heat, don't mind not having "fall" and don't mind the 65 degree winters.

Yeah, as I said, if it weren't for my job, I would be out of here. However, my career has a higher priority than weather preference (but it's damn close!). That's the other thing we hate. Not only do we miss out on fall, and have 65 degree Christmases, but everyone we know could care less. You feel like you're in a Twilight Zone episode. I think it's weird to not care about Autumn and get into the whole holiday spirit. Arizonans (IMO) tend to rationalize the bad, to justify living here. They all like Mexican food, they love the heat, they hate snow, they decorate their house with southwestern motif, they claim to hate grass and prefer gravel yards, etc. There is NO WAY everyone here happens to prefer those things. It's learned behavior I tell ya. :)

I grew up in Minnesota for the first 22 years of my life.

I don't like Xmas or the holidays so i don't get in the spirit no matter where i am at. I don't like mexican food, i don't mind the heat, i hate snow, Southwester motif is annoying as hell, I don't miss grass at all, and would rather have concrete everywhere or at least fake grass. I've felt this way about all of this since the day i moved here and haven't changed my opinion yet in three and a half years.

Typical. ;)

LIES!!

cause you live in phoenix (chandler sorry, theres really no difference :p)... i actually get pretty cold at nite in tucson... phoenix is hotter, but no of course its not an "autumn experience"... thats just the way it is here. same with most parts of mexico and california im sure. ive lived here my whole life unfortunately though, so if i was somewhere else i would probably be complaining that it was so cold.

It was hotter last year (my first year here). We set many records last September and October. I remember playing golf around October 15th last year and it was 105F.

Seems like a lot of people like the heat, contrary to what you believe. Hell, Arizona State University has college kids flocking to it like crazy.

Walking around that campus anytime it's over 90F is likely to cause any straight male to die of dehydration... from drooling. ;)

I don't know..but I'm moving out of here as soon as I get my company to move me along.

My wife begs me every day to send resumes out so we can move. However, I work for Intel, which isn't a company you leave because you don't like the weather. We went to Flagstaff this weekend to see some fall foliage and go to a fall festival. What a joke. Arizonans rave about Flagstaff and the northern part of AZ as being this great place to get away, but it doesn't compare to the east coast. I'm from Indiana and my wife is from Pennsylvania, and the fall experience there is 10x what Flagstaff had to offer. I guess when all you know is the desert, Flagstaff looks pretty cool.

We went to a Halloween/Fall festival here in Phoenix last year, and it was laughable. They put out like 2 pumpkins, it's 90 degrees outside, and people are like "WOW, I love autumn."

I would give my left nut to move back out to AZ. I hate the cold weather, snow, -20 temps, I miss the 80 degree winters, best weather ANYWHERE!!
