why is it so hard to find small metric screws?

Anyone knows where I can find m2.5x8mm screws for my laptop (missing 2 screws) in the Bay Area/Sacramento? It seems like the smalles they have is m3 and i don't want to buy 2 screws @ $0.07 each and pay 6 bucks of shipping unless it's absolutely necessary...

i called frys and they said they don't carry them, maybe i'll go check tomorrow.

I was trying to find ACE only to find out that i don't remember exactly where it was/ it got moved.
