Why is it, it shoots farther when i squeeze the bottom?

When, its about to come out if i squeeze the bottom part it shoots alot further. What is the rational behind this? Afraid to squeeze harder for fear of stopping it.

Talking about the hose in the garden btw. Something to do with the diamter of the lumen?

I once read somewhere that if you chill them (a bag of crushed ice works well) starting a few seconds before you shoot, it'll result in a more forceful propulsion and more liquid. I thought it was BS but I tried it and ... :shocked:

And thanks for the explanation. Was just wondering, cuz if i put my finger at the tip of the hole it seems as if its shooting out further, but i guess thats what the pressure hose is for.
