Why is Hillary running for president?

This question was raised on PBS the other night. Sanders has a very clear message and we know why he is running, it's one I disagree with but it is an open and honest message and we all understand why he's running. Obama's was all about Hope when he was running. What is Hillary's?

Why does any politician usually run? Isn't it usually for power, favors, a cushy retirement paid by lobbyists?

To finalize the plans of Emperor Obama. To take all the guns. To make all the straights gay. To bring the death panels and the thousand years of darkness and take the guns and make the straights gay.

Power I can see, but she is wealthy enough that she's not worried about favors or retirement. "I want power" isn't much of a theme or platform though.

Nostalgia over what once was.
Addiction to power and influence.
Possibility to further line the pockets of the Clinton estate.
Desires power over thee.
To nullify the 2nd amendment, which is a very real threat if she appoints the wrong SC Justices.

IMO, she is the most dangerous candidate running and a threat to personal liberty.

Here are some examples of the way I might vote:

Cruz vs. Sanders - Sanders
Kasich vs. Sanders - Sanders
Trump vs. Hillary - Trump
Trump vs. Sanders - Sanders

Voting Sanders would be the only time I have voted Democrat since Bill Clinton. No fucking Hillary, no way in hell!

Feel free not to post in it then. It was an honest question, I'd be curious to hear an honest answer from a Hillary supporter that isn't just a thread crap.

An honest answer begins with an honest question.

Have you applied your reasoning to Mr. Romney or Mr. Trump?

Nah that helps me out about as much as linking to the issues section of Trumps website. What I want to know is why she is running.

Greetings,

I think she is running because she honestly believes she can make a positive difference, or impact if you will, on American society. Having said that, I am a Bernie supporter but will vote for Hillary should she receive the nomination.

best regards,

So she can get more money, and have better sway in gettin' policy implemented for her uber-rich donaters. The usual political farce.

Ain't the only lad running, that isn't some cookie cutter, morally depraved eejit that crawled out from the sewer, ain't it that old geezer Sanders?

Plus with the neoconservative establishment pledging for Hilary I think shes looking at how high Dick Cheneys investments went up (some 10s of thousands of percentage points) from the Iraq War, she got the opportunity to bank some big returns on another Middle East war. I mean her position is basically indistinguishable from Jeb Bushs at this moment, which is farther right than anyone left in the Republican field--advocating fighting both sides of the civil war in Syria at the same time.

To fulfill a dream, maybe. Or to further the cause of the Dem Party and empower the folks who are going to profit from it.

But more like, "Hey Bill, you promised me if I played ball with your wanting to have your balls being slapped on other women's chins, then you'd get everyone that owes you their jobs and fat portfolios to back me up for a run at your old job. So, you got yours, now you gimme mine. A deal's a deal, right?"

Oh, and those donations, aka speaking fees, mean she is someone's race horse. (puppet)

If there is anyone who can't see how bought this woman is, by all her cronies, they need to take off their blinders and look a bit harder. She is the epitome of what is wrong in politics. Once elected, she is owned, lock, stock and barrel. Yay for more puppet string government as usual! Just because she possesses a vagina or is a democrat are not the right reasons for a vote.

My sister said she's voting for her. I asked her, why do you like her? She said because she's married to Bill and he'll tell her what to do.

I'm convinced people have lower standards than they used to. Bill is a scandalous person himself, not to mention washed up.

It's one of the biggest achievements you can make. It's like your career is with the company and you're aiming for the very top position of CEO. Except the company is the country and your career is politics.

She got a taste as Bill's first lady and she wants more. Given the timing of every political move she has made since it all looks like it was made with the presidency in mind. To me she doesn't come off as passionate about any particular platform enabled by the position except being the first woman president. But frankly I have my doubts that she even really cares about that. If it were some other woman running with the same level of support under a different term I doubt she'd be that enthusiastic about it, and indeed didn't have pretty much any of this massive "break the biggest glass ceiling" drive in her 2008 campaign. Even her feminism comes off as pure political manipulation.
