. My plan is to ditch my Neon and give that to my parents to replace their POS with a slightly better POS. I would then buy a new (to me) vehicle to replace it. My limit is around $10,000 and I have already found the vehicle and priced out insurance, which isnt bad.

I wish I did not have such expensive taste!

:D

Wish I never put myself into debt, but this damn college thing is expensive.

$10,000 is not expensive taste. It's not like you're spending $120,000 on a Porsche.

You're sensible in only spending $10K. I wonder about the ATOT'ers who spend $25K+ on cars. Either I'm poorer than average, or they're going into too much debt :p

<---Has owned current car for 4+ years. Intends to drive it until world runs out of fossil fuels :D

For me it's not fun. For some it's fun because you get something new and you didn't have to work for it - though you will, and you'll have to work harder, since you borrowed the money. You have to pay the piper sometime.

Jeeps are not all that much fun if all you ever do is drive on the road.... If you go offroad, obviously that is a different story.

How about saving it for a down payment on a house or an investment? Buying another car after 3 months is plain stupid.

How are the Trackers? I was thinking about a vehicle sometime this year for the beach / camping and the Tracker came to mind. Are they any good as far as reliability?
