**Sniffle** Everyone beats up on my poor Abit. My KT7R has been flawless. Can't say the same about the Iwill KK266 that's in my GF computer. AGP slot was DOA (3 diff vid cards can't all be busted...especially when they work in my Abit mobo!) Now, maybe I just got a bad Iwill board, I dunno; I've only bought one so I really can't make any sweeping generalizations.

As Shannon said, I'll keep using Abit until or if I get burned. Then I'll try another. I do the same thing w/online vendors. If I've never had a prob w/them, I buy from them again. But once I get burned, no second chances. My $.02.

I just put my first AMD system together. After reading the reviews and forums, I was going to get an ASUS A7M266 and add the switched for the multipler. At the last minute I decided to get an Epox 8K7A instead - $50.00 dollars cheaper and I don't have to hassle with adding the switches.

The installation went without a hitch. I used a harddrive that already had Win 2000 on it from a Intel 815E system, let the OS find the hardware changes, added the AMD and VIA drivers, and voilla (or something like that).

I have only had the system running for the day, but I was impressed how easy it was and am running a 1.4 Tbird at 1.5, default voltage, so far :)

I think the 8K7A is great.
