Why is everyone in the forums being bitchy lately? Has something happened that i dont know about?

Hi,
Ive noticed over my last 50 posts, than loads of people are being bitchy, argumentitive and insulting.
Now, all of my previous posts, i hardy came accross anyone that was like that.
Has something happened thats made a load of people be like this. Cos i`d love to know.

Im fed up of it to be honest.
We`re all here to help each other, and as soon as you do, you get a reply like;
"you a wrong, completly wrong, you moron"
where as before it was more along the lines of;
"you are not quite right there, but its a simple mistake to make"
 
You lot are either joking or i am seeing all the culprits lining up to post in this thread.

Please though, im all for a joke, but a bit of seriousness here.
You`ve gotta have noticed the increased hostility in the forums lately.

Suppose the latter is the case:
These are all longtime members with many posts. If they are in fact the 'culprits', then this shouldn't be anything new, right?

Now, that sort of thing is apt to occur in a group setting: women in pregnancy and birth classes often go into labor at the same time, as do women who are friends and pregnant and such.

Ya, I know exactly what you mean, but I don't think that it's been a recent occurance. It's always happened, and probably always will happen. The problem is that some people just believe too strongly in a specific idea, and will argue it to their death. Other times you get someone that either completely misunderstands what you're trying to say, or takes one thing you say and assumes that it applies to everything you stand for. Just the other day I made a few statements on ATOT and this guy rambles on and on with insults and whatnot, just because he read too much into what I was saying. It was ridiculous, really.

I've notice lately, that people don't have a sense of humor around here at AnandTech Forum. Also, on my last posting, my humour about wanting to buy a wish resulted in naysayers. I posted it because I wanted to make people laugh. Ah, well. Can't please everybody.
 
At least its not just me whos noticed.
We`re all here to help each other, so why argue and insult each other. Its daft.

Im just saying that people here should be more chilled out and less argumentitive.
The main culprits are happy to insult you, but when they want help, they all come crying dont they.
Everyone, even me, argue once in a while, but there are some ppl that do its in almost every thread that they are involved in.
 
I don't like when it gets all bitchy either... it's like instead of calling someone a dumbass.... if that can be avoided.. it's much better saying something more tame. 😛
