Why is everyone flipping out over Tim Hardaway's comments?

I personally have no problem with gays, but I am not gonna cry over some guy I don't even know giving his opinion. America is becoming a pussified nation. What's next? hate speech laws? Anyone who dares even not agree with homosexuality is fined or jailed?

If you're well known and you publicly make non-PC comments, expect to take some flak for it.

I don't think the public cares much seeing as how the star is so minor. However the soundbite makes for easy television and debate, so the stations aren't going to stop reporting on it for a few more days.

Why are you outraged and shocked over what is a typical reaction? In the same vein that people shouldn't worry about Tim Hardaway's comments, you shouldn't worry about what people think about those comments.

Because the personal need of many progressives is to have others view them as tolerant. The more offended you are about such comments, the more tolerant you are, thereby affirming to themselves they are good people.

because it was a bigoted comment. should we simply tolerate anything? the pussification of america is in the acceptance of every thought and idea even when they are contradictory. Even when they are close to unjustifiable. Even when they are bigoted. That's the pussification of america.
