Why is every Java 2 Runtime Environment update > 100mb and......

Do i need to keep each individual update installed on the system?

I've got 3 updates on here now, for a grand total of 350mb or so....

Eh? JRE 1.5 is only 16MB

its not just the update, it's a full JDK install

Can i go ahead an uninstall the old versions then? Thats kinda annoying.

See the website and actually read the installation notes.

I think all you need to do is point JAVA_HOME to the correct dir of the installationm you want to use.
