come on...let it go, sure it was part of it, but the cubs blew that series, it wasnt just his fault, he wasnt at the other 3 games they lost, he didnt cause the SS to get an error, he didnt make prior fall apart

its been 2 years, let it go

Sometimes I hate the media.

I love shows like PTI and Around the Horn, but man I honestly haven't heard but maybe one or two people defend bartman. First of all, they cubs had PLENTY of opportunities to win that series, they blew it. Not Bartman. Secondly, there were like 3-4 other fans that reached for the ball as well, and were within inches of hitting it. If Bartman wasn't there Im sure some other fan would have hit it. Besides, its natural instinct to go for a foul ball when its coming right at you.

Geeez, poor guy. He did look like an idiot though :)

the only good thing i have seen is the show 5 reasons you cant blame bartman

#1 reason i think was the dusty baker, after the game he said it was fan interferance, but didnt argue that at the time, he never came out to settle down prior, after it was tied he sent the pitching coach out there...Baker did nothing to settle his team down after that and therefore they lost

plus it was only game 6...

I fully agree with you...but I still want to know where he went to.

I live in Chicago and I am curious.

Push the fans back a couple of rows if you don't want them touching potentially live balls. Christ. Can't have it both ways.

 There's no reason fans should be so close to the game where stupid interference can happen

The biggest thing is... they get kicked out for touching the ball... I mean... that's punishing them for a reflex action. Move them away so that it wouldn't be a live ball any longer - cause the fielder can't get to it anyway.

Either that (and I'm sure they want to sell every seat) or don't punish the fans.

who cares where he went to?

He did not cause them to lose. the Cubs choked! face it they choked! they still could have won but they choked!

its not bartmans fault. its the players. they just need a scape goat!
