Why is deepdiscountdvd so cheap?

Probably the same way Amazon does it. Volume.

I doubt it. Amazon has inventory. Assuming all other things equal, the trick to maximizing the profits (allowing the price to drop) is to master just in time inventory. You buy it from me and I buy it from someone else who ships to you allowing me never to keep inventory but still keep a small profit.

In fact, if this is automated, then his profit margins can be very small in order to keep him afloat since he has few if any employees.

If not this, then he may have purchased reproduction rights on the DVDs he sells (ala Columbia House and BVG). That way he can create what you want when you buy it and not have to sink a lot into inventory.

Who knows?
