Why is Dead of Alive 3 for XBOX so cheap?

It looks awesome, but why is it only $24?

I'm taking a plunge here, but maybe it sucks?

it's gotten rave reviews everywhere I've seen it.

I may pick it up since the roomies and I have already demolished Mortal Kombat DEadly Alliance

1. Launch title
2. Very short and IMO little replay value

Though don't get me wrong...it's a good game... it's just pretty short, and once you've beaten it, there's not much left to do.

but isn't that true for all fighting games?

We're looking for another fighting game. What rivals it besides MK?

is it still any good?

i think its awsome i still like playing it. the graphics are great. and the characters all bring some thing unique to the table.

I think this is shorter than most fighting games.

The bouncy babes that kick real high gets real old after a while...it was a fun title and for 24 bucks, it might be a keeper. But yeah...unless you know a lot of people who play it or like fighting games, it should hold low replay value.

Because it is older. Most of the launch titles (outside of Halo) are now down in the $20-30 range.

Yeah, it's like Sony's Platinum games - it pays to have old, good games out cheap to entice people to buy the system.

Yea, I saw DOA 3 yesterday for $20. Not to shabby! I bought SSX Tricky for $18. Great deal. I wish XBox games had a "Greatest Hits" line though. I bought Halo like a month ago, and it was still $45 used! I sucked it up and spent the extra $5 for it new.

Exactly what I was thinking. But I guess we'll have to wait a while. It has been pushed back till holiday season of 2003. :(

Soul Calibur 2 on Xbox Live... hopefully.
Until then, I'll have to settle for Capcom vs. SNK 2 Online. As long as they don't keep that Easy Operation crap on the online version.
