Why is CS Source choppy?

Just got my new computer recently and am having major problems with CS Source. I'm on a 6800GT with 2 gigs of ram. With no AA I get FPS around 30 and it is very choppy to say the least. My walking is choppy from time to time as well as if I were lagging yet I have a 50 ping.

The weird thing is BF2 runs perfectly! I'm the first one to load the map most of the time.

I've tried other drivers but that doesn't work. I've tried reinstalling HL2 but that doesnt work. I tried cl_smooth 0 and cl_interpolate 1 and that doesn't work. Does anyone know why I might be having this problem and how to fix it?

I'd like to know too. BF2 runs fine here but Source feels choppy. I ping low like you but then it looks like I lag when I walk sometimes, etc. Sometimes I do get high choke on servers, I've tried messing with my rates but that didn't help. Source is still beta to me. :/

Well I dont know about CSS but im glad you guys run BF2 perfectly because you have very similar stats to what i plan on buying fut

suprisingly enough try turning your settings UP like 4xAA and 8x AF and with high res.
