why is comodo firewall constantly accessing mcctf.dll?

Red Squirrel

No Lifer
I came home today and my HDD is roaring as if I was doing 20 video renders at once.

Trying to pin down which program is doing it I ruled it to be comodo firewall. It's constantly opening and closing msctf.dll at super high speed. I have not rebooted yet so that may fix the problem, but why would it be accessing that file so much? Could this be a sign of malware? I use common sense so I really can't see how a virus would have slipped through the cracks but it's a slight possibility. I have avira and it's fully up to date, no detections.

what version? Comodo always update to latest version last time it updated was like 2 weeks ago.

3.5. It seems to have stopped after a reboot, all seems ok now. Was just weird. Computer was pretty much unusable. I'll run a manual virus scan to be safe but don't think it was malware related, probably some weird crash or something.
