My mate had this problem and had that cream. It was an

Epic Fail

Sorry I will now accept you anecdotal evidence over the numerous peer reviewed articles.

Up with Circumcision!

So when did you get it done? Can you recommend a good Mohel?

(As with everything there is a chance that it won't work/will take longer than expected and at the end of it you can still be circumcised)

It would be easier to clean female external genitalia if all her labia were resected, should it be done? (I mean, really, there are an infinite amount of analogies that could be made here)

Obviously there are significant negative issues related to removing a female's labia... thereby making that an invalid analogy. A more apt analogy would be something like getting a baby's ears pierced...

While I have some similar anecdotal evidence regarding women in the US, it's still merely anecdotal; and considering how uncircumcised Europe is, I can't imagine you believe that Europeans are getting less head.

That would be an interesting study... in a society where there is less circumcision than the united states... how often are BJs performed? Of course there are a lot of variables to consider here related to frequency of sexual acts in general.... willingness to be adventurous in a culture.. etc etc... hmmm but at the end of the day I live in the United States and my son lives in the United States.. so I don't really need to consider the fellatio habits of Western Europe when deciding to get my son circumcised or not.

Completely valid argument, and IMHO, your only completely valid argument. The detriments of circumcision aren't (in the vast, vast majority of cases) severe enough for me to intervene in your religious practice.

Gee thanks boss.

You seem like you're taking this as a personal attack, are you?

Well if I were taking it personally I would read this thread as suggesting that my father abused me, and I abused my son. So yes I am taking it a bit personally. Last I checked the law says we have a choice about whether not to circumcise our sons... I don't see any threads.... in fact I've NEVER seen any threads targeted at people who DONT circumcise... have you?

Then women all over the world must only prefer Jewish and American men. Because if you have ever traveled OUTSIDE the USA, the vast majority of men are UN-cut.

Keep that in mind next time you travel to Spain, Germany, or Sweden, etc. and the woman you've successfully gotten into bed gasps at your cut member in shock.

Oh but you have him all wrong!

You know that Dos Equis most interesting man in the world guy? He was based on the life of our own Capt Caveman. He's traveled, worldly, charming, romantic, impeccably dressed, open-minded, multilingual, devastatingly handsome, singularly pragmatic, compassionate, witty, intensely intelligent, and knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics.

True story.

I haven't got it done, I don't know what a Mohel is.

There that's better. This is a good argument for the 13.3 million Jews on the planet. However it doesn't apply to the other 5.99 billion non-jews.

would a series of laughable assumptions be included in that category?

Ok so we're good.. you can do what you want for your son and I can do what I want for mine without you accusing me of child abuse?

Poor you.

Sure. You should be solely liable for any botched procedures though. There should be no compensation. Your son should also retain the right to sue you for damages later on in life.

And you still haven't learnt what Google is. Try it some time. Stop being so wilfully ignorant.

I don't care enough about somethings too google it, what a Mohel is, is one of the things I don't care about. Unless you want me to know, I'm happy not knowing.

That is debatable.

Very debatable.

Risk to reward circumcision is a terrible procedure. It's required in something like less than .005% of males. The situation is when the foreskin does not properly detach from the glans AND this causes EXTREME discomfort and infection, and even in these cases, circumcision is not required, just a snip or two to get things moving.

Circumcision is the number one cause of penis loss.

It's an unnecessary procedure that makes surgeons money though, just like C-sections, and since it is widely accepted, it is done routinely. At it's heart these days, it is nothing but a money grab. Don't get me going on C-sections...

Oh for fucks sake... I should be as liable for said elective procedure as any other elective medical procedure.

The suing thing is too asinine for me to even respond to... Maybe we should let him sue for not getting enough hugs and kisses too? If the procedure gets f-ed up... you sue the person who f-ed it up. It's not that difficult... there are mohels who do 6-7 circumcisions a day.

I had a pediatric surgeon who moonlights as a mohel do my son's. Came out just fine.

It's a rabbi. A Bris is a circumcision. A Mohel is a rabbi that does them according to the Hebrew ceremony. It is common knowledge. You are a common idiot.

I think I understand all the excitement from the non-circumcised people. They feel abnormal in American society, like freaks, and their rampant porn addiction just reinforces that they are different. Instead of responding calmly, like an adult, they rant about how circumcision is an abuse, how it's stupid, how they are the truly normal ones in contemporary American society. I bet most of these people have never been outside the norm, and this is why it's so scary.

I don't think elective surgeries should be entitled to compensation unless there is demonstrable gross neglect like the surgeon was high on PCP or something so I'm not discriminating. Hugs and kisses and removing parts of the body are not nearly the same. A child isn't property you are a just a temporary caretaker.

It's a ritual in a culture which has been doing so over the course many -- many-- years. Don't like it? Start your own society somewhere else.

Is the cougar always on your counters like in the commercial and does it eat many of your dogs? I've had my mind set to trap one of the buggers for a pet, but having dogs myself would appreciate your experience with the issue.

Dude, Ridgebacks were bred to hunt lions. Cougars are no match.

It's not common knowledge around here, this is information I've never needed, and I don't know anyone who would ever have needed it. I guarantee that 99% of the people I know don't have this knowledge. You made a stupid assumption. Your a stupid idiot.
