 Those who are opposed to gambling, why? I like gambling. I see nothing wrong with it.

Because people who can't use moderation bankrupt themselves. Aside from ruined families and little kids going hungry, the cost also gets passed on to me as higher prices for goods & services.

(ed) but I'm not really opposed to gambling, smoking, drinking, or hard drugs, even though I don't gamble or ingest. I'm all for complete personal freedom as long as the price is complete personal responsibility. Bring back debtor prsion work camps instead of weasling bankruptcy and I'll vote for gambling on every street corner.

Because I lost $150 in 45 minutes before my flight left Vegas...putting a major dent in my winnings so I just broke even. When was the last time you spent $150 on nothing?

People have other ways of bankrupting themselves. Families get ruined all the time. Most of it is not due to gambling.

There's nothing wrong with it, so long as one understands that gambling is a form of entertainment, not an early retirement plan. One who views gambling in the former sense is extremely likely to gamble away only a little money, one who views gambling in the latter is extremely likely to lose everything they own and then borrow money from a guy named Guido.

Actually I like ultimatebet.com. They have free tourneys where you can win real money. I especially like their point system. Earn enough points and trade them in for real money or prizes.
