Why is BT going so slow?

Trying to download a 24 ep and it's going literally under 5KB/sec. I tried the original BT client, BT++, ABC and all seem to go so slow. With 300+ seeds shouldn't I see fast downloads? wtf? :Q
 
are you behind a router? make sure ports 6881-6889, i believe, are open

that helped me go from 1-2 kb/sec to pretty much my maximum d/l capabilities
