Why is Brad Pitt always referred to as some kind of sex symbol?

I mean just looking at him you'd think he was just some average noodnick off the street.

So why is he referred to as someone whos particularly attractive? Sure he was a real cutup in the 12 Monkies with Bruce Willis, shooting the double bone at anyone who pissed him off at the insane asylum, but otherwise I dont get it.

There are other actors out there with more skills than Brad and Stu Pitt.

1. 95% of the female population drool over him.
2. He kicked ass in Fight Club, 7even, and a few other movies.

Ive seen seven and wasnt impressed. Fight club was so maligned by everyone and their uncle to even bother with, so I didnt see it. When you have that many people ragging on a movie, something has to be wrong with it. Maybe Stu couldve helped if he had a cameo in it.

Fight Club was good but not amazing
And Brad Pitt is touted as a sex symbol because he is an unusually handsome guy with a lot of exposure

Look Brad Pitt is a sex symbol because he nails the girls that are unattainable to 99.99% of the guys out there. When you can turn down Jennifer Anniston and get with Angelina a few weeks later then maybe you'll be a sex symbol, but sitting in your basement posting on ATOT probably won't increase your chances! :D

i guess you just can't see it. he's above average and has a tight bod, and he can act better than a lot of them.

It is also a matter of the guy is over 40 but still looks like he is in his 20s. The guy is attractive and physically fit. He is what they call "man-pretty", yet he retains the masculine features many girls want (for instance the stubble gives him masculine sex appeal but the baby face gives him a cute charm girls like). And I am very hetero, I just pick up on this stuff because girls have told me this stuff.

I think it has alot to do with his cocky "I don't care what you think about me" attitude, and he kinda has rugged good looks, definately not a "pretty boy". He just has that combo of masculine looks and attitude that seem to be irresistable to the womenz
