Why is Asus Probe telling me my chassis fan and powerfan are below threshold

All of the sudden the Asus Probe taskbar icon turned red and when I opened it, It told me that my chassis fan and powerfan are below threshold. Are those the ones in the power supply? I liked over the system and it appears all 4 of my 80MM fans, plus the PSU fans are running. What's the deal here? I'm freaked.

as far as i know, thats perfectly fine. Asus probe can only "probe" the fans that are plugged into the motherboard directly with the little 3 pin plugs. If you plugged your fans in with regular molex connectors then the probe cant monitor them and it will say they are below threshold as in not spinning. As long as you can see the fans spinning i wouldnt worry too much aobut it.

As far as why it all of a sudden just started, i have no idea, unless it is a fresh install.

oh well, that's a relief. Don't care why it's telling me as long as it doesn't pose a threat.

Unclick Power and Chassis Fan in ASUS Probe then shutdown/restart Probe.

It's likely ASUS Probe can't acquire those 2 readings so it may register as 0 RPMs in Probe ergo cause the red taskbar icon to appear.

I noticed that sometimes Asus probe will not register some of the fans that are connected to motherboard. Especially manually adjustable fans.

Asus Probe has issues if fans fall below a certian RPM threshold but it also only monitors fans pluged into the motherboard. Hope this helps... :)

Unless it's suppose to fall below threshold e.g. Q-Fan then nothing happens.
