Why is American Idol on a different night, different time EVERY week?

How the hell do they expect people to follow the show if they never keep it on the same night?

i think the 12 male finalist this year are better than last years 12. shoot i think more than half of them are better than Clay and Rueben.

It's not always on Tuesday? I haven't been watching it for a year now, but if I were to guess why, it'd be to increase exposure for the program that follows American Idol(the local news probably follows AI, but like I said, I'm just guessing...)

They are probably going to have 12 perform tonight, 12 tomorrow night, and announce the results on Wednesday.

Rating are slipping and fox is trying to find out on what night they will be able to capture the most viewers. It is what most stations do when a show is starting to slip and they shift it around on different nights and once it doesnt work out and people just are not watching it gets trashed. The way it is going tonight with as boring and stale it is with all the slow put me to sleep songs I am ready, NM playing yet another kissy poo song, I am turning it off now. Hell with my wife this sh!t sucks bad right now.

I think we had a thursday in there one week.... And this week its monday/tuesday... Also, sometimes it starts at 8, sometimes at 8:30, others 9. Also, sometimes its 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours...

Just weird...

Because an overwhelming amount of people like to watch it. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but television networks tend to air shows that are very popular. ;)

Slipping as being the #1 show on TV right now ??
I think Fox will take "slipping" any time.

LOL - the show isn't "slipping" in ratings. They put it on multiple nights because the show is money - even with several shows a week they still pull in good ratings.
