Why is Abit so late with their KR7 board?

The KT266A is a drop-in replacement for the KT266....what's up with this? I hope they haven't scrapped plans to manufacture 266A-based boards...that would not be a wise business decision for them.

they have been very bad lately they still plan on coming out with a SiS735 board, look how long it took them to come out with the KG7 i think they have slipped since the days of the KA7 which owns IMO, they KT7 and KT7A were good but not as good as other KT133(A) boards.

Nowadays i would look toward epox they have been putting out some great stuff ie 8K7A, 8KHA+

the KG7 is good but 4 Registered DIMMs basically sux for overclocking (FSB) and a TON of motherboards out today have all the features of SOFTMENU

You know, I'm starting to think the same thing about my beloved Abit; they are slipping, big-time. I was hoping for a KT266A with onboard raid, which the MSI does have, but MSI is kind of questionable, stability-wise, IMO. I guess it may be time for me to purchase a real RAID card, huh? I've gotten very used to IDE raid 0 I like the additional speed.

Is that a joke? Abit is probably the most questionable when it comes to stability.

Ummm ... Abit doesn't have anything to drop the KT266A into. They never had a KT266 board. If they had, the new board would be the KR7A not the KR7.

hmm and whats the matter with SiS735 chipsets even if Abit does make such a board that would rule it will help SiS to take out that craped
out Via?
