Went to a bar downtown Rockford tonight with a few friends. On the ten block walk back to my car I was accosted by no less than four crack whores and one pimp all trying to give me a "good time."

Funny that four police cars were parked at the 24 hour McDonalds two blocks from my car. :roll:

Get a carry permit, well, I'm not sure of the legality on carrying in Illinois, but if it's legal do it. Feel much more secure that way.
 
I thought Rockford was a good city. Looked like a pretty nice city to me everytime I've been there. Guess not though.

Some very bad parts in Rockford, especially downtown near Broadway and 11th. I can't think of any bar worth going to in that area though. There's a few strip joints down there, but they are really bad.

Our downtown Port Huron sucks, because all the good places get shut down. Due to old people and good ol boys complaining about the noise and stupid little things.

That is the general area that I was in. There are a few cool bars down in that are. The one I was at last night keeps the riff-raff out by being members only. But, god, the walk. 🙁
