Why I hate AT&T

So I was trying to call AT&T to change my dang plan. I waited on hold for 30 minutes to finally get disconnected by the guy I was talking to. Of course he would not try to call me back. Not like he does not have my cell phone number or anything. Needless to say I am not happy. But my anger goes much beyond that. The area that I live in is crappy for cell phones. AT&T is the best service that I can get. So I am stuck with them. I hate that. On top of that they want you to agree to a contract for any of the new promotions that they have. I hate that. Customer Service for AT&T sucks. I hate that. They wont give me a discount on anything even though I have two wireless phones with them and my long distance is thru them. I hate that. They have the worst line of phones. I hate that. I just hate being stuck in a situation when nothing can be done about it. I HATE AT&T!!!!
Just needed to vent.

AT&T is the devil!!!

jk, but I know the feeling. They provide both my internet and digital cable service. It sucks that they are the only gig in town.

I can see your complaints. However, I should point out that these companies will never call you back if you're inadvertently disconnected. Second, every cell phone provider will make you sign a new contract if you want to take advantage of a new promotion. As far as I know, AT&T has no "deals" for those existing customers, at least not that are different from those available to new customers.

Other then that, Sprint CS sucks hard. Definitely the worse in the industry. That, and no official upgrade program for handsets. That's the worst part.

Well if you ever need a Frame Relay connection, remember that you hate AT&T, 'cause they suck at that too.

I know companies with mulit-million dollar accounts that still get crappy service, just like customers with just one circuit.

Long hold times and attitude from customer service reps is commonplace.

Mine is horrible all the time. It disconnects about 5-10 times a day(literally) for large amounts of time. They have came out to our apartment twice already and haven't fixed the problem. We are going to switch to Ameritech DSL tommorrow.
