Why haven't ATi named ...

I think I missed something since ATi's R580 launch.

I know indeed there is the X1900 XT and XTX/CrossFire Edition ...

But where's the X1900 XL ?

All the reviews I've read about R580 consists of X1900 XT's and XTX's compared to the usual competition.

Or perhaps ATi haven't named another variant of the X1900 line as "XL" that I missed but is available right now ?

Enlighten me please.

Good question. They soft launched the x1800GTO today but no mention of any 1900XL version of the 1900 series. I think we should hear something about it soon, but could be wrong as have not even heard any credible rumors on it yet.

Well, after looking on some web-sites selling X1900 cards, I saw the X1900 All-In-Wonder ...

The Core clock and the Memory clock is about the same than my X1800 XL's, except for the Memory, which is 20 Mhz lower, how strange.

But, it isn't actually named "X1900 XL", but perhaps it IS actually the XL version of the X1900 line ? Or not ?

I'm confused ...

I'm guessing the X1900XL, if/when it arrives, will be basically the X1900AIW minus the AIW. It's just that ATI's probably got to clear out the X1800s first. I'm taking the X1800GTO as a sign that they're doing just that.
