Why havent any of the "Hackers" in the USA taken down terrorist websites?

Its not like they could get in trouble, put up some girly pictures of Bin Laden, take down the server, or something to that effect.

Has this happened?

They hack all these sites like amazon and get away with it, whats to say that they wont get away with this?

The best hackers come from outside of the US (see: Canada).
US hackers are less political than hackers outside of the US (read: they don't see their families get blown up at 7-11).
DDoSing "terrorist websites" could adversely affect other sites, and that lifetime in jail can suck (read: ask mommy to bring you vaseline).
Leaving the sites up may give law enforcement a better chance at finding out what is going on (read: using US citizens as "bait" to draw out the terrorists).

Oh yeah, forgot to ask: How many hack mirrors do you read on a daily basis? How many of the "hacked sites" out there do you think actually get reported to that, or other sites?

To be honest, i dont know much of jack sh!t about hacking. I just have to much time to think of stupid stuff at work i guess. I am sure that some sites get fixed before many people (news) know.
It just pisses me off that these chicken sh!ts put their beheading/etc videos on their website and then to hear our own ambassador ask al jezeera (sp?) not to release it when they do it anyway....
