I have a home on the central coast, I have two homes in Poland and a flat in Israel....Landscapes in Israel are somewhat like southern California from Orange County (i.e., Tel Aviv area) up to San Francisco (i.e.; Haifa), but all in much smaller scale. The hill country around Nazareth reminds me of the mesas around San Diego, again in much smaller scale.

But by Western religious standards, Israel sq mile by sq mile is the most bitterly contested and desirable land on earth. As the religions of Jududaism, Christianity, and Islam all claim Israel as a devine part of their religion.

And at various times in the last 1800 years, Israel has been a bloody rag to be pigged by either Muslims or Christians. Ands almost every 100 years or so like clockwork, Israel changes hands. The recent development is now, after being mostly MIA in Israel, the Jews are back, so now we have three major world religions trying to pig all of Israel all for one and only one religion.
