I don't know the one comic they were putting out with a Mom about to stab a rabbit was pretty much over the top.
 
uhhh, maybe because they are extremist nuts? Their general message is a pretty good one, but they often go too far.
 
Peta's message: suffering animals shouldn't be forced to linger on, clinging to life, while they await transportation to a slaughter facility = GOOD message.

Peta's message: all cows should be given 10 acres to roam about freely, plus a masseuse to rub them down every other day = BAD

 
I think they are aware that not everyone is going to stop eating meat anytime soon. So I'd give them credit for that.

Here are a few reasons why I hate them

1. They are against eating food, Anyone who doesn't want me to eat steak can DIAF
2. They are against testing ... you know, sacrificing Animals in the name of progress/science/medicine to save human lives and/or save lots of money
3. They are against furs ... Furs are the warmest and really are the best for a small percent of the population ... (Northern Alaska, Mountain climbers, etc)
4. They are against Fishing, even if you release the fish alive and in tact
5. They support the ALF ... (You know, the terrorist organization that likes to blow stuff up, and endanger human lives just to release a few amimals from research labs)
6. They confuse "cost efficiency" of animal slaughterhouses as being "intentional torture" rather then just trying to keep costs down for consumers.
7. They use deceptive practices to gain support
8. They are against pet ownership (they want ALL animals to be completely free)

I'm sure If I reasearched more into PITA I could find a LOT more to dislike about them, however, I already hate them enough, so I'm done for now.
 
Listen I'm female and love animals but these dillheads gots to go!

They are disgusting. The animals understand more policy than do these clowns.

The lions would not eat them if given the chance. Maybe use them as a sex playtoy.
 
PETA's Message = Destroying property, people, or eco-systems is good if it is for the "animals". The people who do these acts are also good.

PETA openly supports terrorist, including those freaks from ELF and ALF.
