Some have been released to the states for Obama's state qualifications, and most are available to the media, to the best of my knowledge. This ground has been covered many times young man. At my school, you needed a 3.5 GPA and you had to write a research paper. What's the point? A lot of students opt out of the paper because graduating with honors is meaningless. Why stack a poor time investment onto an already crowded senior year?

Honors differs amongst schools. At mine, they brought in outside experts in your major and you had to pass both written and oral tests on anything in your major that they independently chose to question you about.

for my undergrad, honors was a program you applied to as a freshman... if you got in, you had to take so many classes marked as "honors" (gen eds for the most part) that were significantly harder than the 101-equivalents (though with the added benefit of class sizes being 5-15 instead of in lecture halls) and write/present a thesis for your major during your final semester. in exchange, I got first priority on class scheduling (which was *amazing* as a freshman, I almost never had a problem getting every class/professor/time-slot I wanted), an extra medal to wear at graduation, and a couple extra words next to my education on my resume.

latin honors were different and were based solely on GPA... not everyone who graduated "with honors" also had latin honors (though most of us did) and not everyone who graduated cum laude, etc graduated with honors.
