Why has WinDVD stopped working?

I've used it for quite a while (Full Version, I bought it), and now all the sudden it doesn't even recognize a DVD. I hit play, and it just sits there. I'm wondering if it has something to do with installing Service Pack 1 onto Win2K... I've reinstalled WinDVD, and it didn't help anything. Anyone have any ideas why WinDVD would stop working?
