So you are a saying that the Europeans knowledge was acquired by some kind of "imaculate conception" and it was not based on an accumulation of knowledge by civilizations that existed before them, specifically Greece?

Of course there are links between civilizations. I even explained some earlier in this thread. (Did you bother to read the thread?) However it's ridiculous to say they are all one and the same because of that. Otherwise the term Western civilization has no meaning.

And Greece is considered part of Western civilization. You're obviously too stubborn to admit you're speaking from a place of ignorance. So feel free to keep agreeing with Throck that Middle-Eastern Civilization is a branch of Western Civilization... LOL.

Wow, I thought that the source of Western Civilization was assumed to be from the Greeks for anyone knowlegable about history. I thought that wasn't necessary to be pointed out.
