Why has every potential GOP Candidate (except Dr. Paul) gone to Israel?

Israel is like a 51st state of the union, and a lot more important than, say, Idaho. Interestingly, I thought most Jews in New York vote for Democrats, right?

Because it's a dry heat.
LOL!

Support for Israel is highly important to Christian fundamentalists, who form a large part of the Republican primary electorate, and also highly important to conservative Jews, who form a not-insignificant part of Republican campaign funding.

They're pandering to AIPAC. Palin went so far as to say the US should stay out of Israel's "Zoning issues", her euphemism for ongoing Israeli expansionism...

I'll bet Netanyahu did a backflip...

No No No, none of the above, its all about Israel playing the crucial role in the Christian rapture, during our times. Lucky us, every thousand years, Christian become convinced that the second coming of Jesus Christ must come in even multiple of a thousand years.

It did not work in 1000 AD, but surely it will work in 2000 AD. Never mind the fact that Israel, per rapture doctrine is a necessary but an all too consumable part of the rapture, I too want to be raptured as one the good guys. As for the Jews, face the facts, they will still go to hell. Along with the Arabs, and Palestinians, and all the politically incorrect too.

What is the easiest way to get someone elected?

Make that person the only choice!

If anyone stands up for the position, just get rid of them, and that's not hard to do in today's media...
