Why Google?

Can anyone explain the difference between Altavista and Google?

AltaVista = More definable (better boolean logic choices)

I believe Google ranks items by the number of links to the returned page on OTHER sites. So the most-linked-to pages show up at the top.

I like Copernic 2001...I would never limit myself to ONE search engine 🙂

I use google primarily to find technical stuff.

Mostly for linux. It has a nack for finding things I am looking for 🙂

For ordinary stuff, I use metacrawler. Just a habit.
