Whats the big deal sorrounding LCd's???

Also what are the effects of EMR from a CRT? I mean how much time a day in front of a CRT would be harmful???

thanks

LCDs have smooth pixels and they are also easier on the eyes when you plan on spending hours at a time on the pc. They also take up less space and give off less heat.

When they say it is 17 inches it really is a 17 inch viewable monitor and they are also more expensive than CRT's.

But doesn't CRT's still hold an advantage in image quality when it comes to playing games?

I used to have a mitsubishi 2060u (which is a high end graphics monitor) then got a dell 1800fp and I dont notice a difference except my eyes dont get as tired with the 1800fp😎

less strain on eyes (especially you do a lot of text reading on computer), space saving, more stylish, energy saving (my 15" LCD uses about 1/5 wattage as my 17" CRT). oh and chicks dig LCDs!
