Who says support for the NRA is a bad thing? I think honest citizens should be able to carry concealed weapons. Don't bite my head off left-wingers!

He is on the payroll of countless companies, meaning their interests will be on Bush's mind whenever he considers how to respond to a bill. He wants to cut taxes because of the budget surplus, which has been greatly exaggerated by both sides, and then spend more money than is in the actual surplus on government programs. His environmental record in Texas is far from flattering, and he has no problem with opening up national parks or natural reserves to oil drilling.

Yes, some of these apply to other candidates as well, but the question was about how GWB scares me, not Gore or Nader.

That he claimed he knew nothing about that subliminible ad. ;) Not to mention the annoying ass smirk he can't wipe off his face, or that he probably has no idea what it's like to strugle just to put a roof over your head and food in your cupboards.

1. This is such BS. Al Gore has a million dollars worth of stock in Occidental (An oil company). So I guess it's ok for him to get rich off the evil oil companies but not W.

2. Gore use to be a big defender of the gun owner but than made an overnight change because of politics. He figured he'd get more mileage being a anti-gun guy than defending the second admendment.

Oh and by the way Ralph Nader has made 4 million by investing in the same companies that he criticizes, so I guess there all full of crap !!!!!!!

The truth be told that none of these guys is going to wander to far from the middle.

"He is on the payroll of countless companies, meaning their interests will be on Bush's mind whenever he considers how to respond to a bill. "

Once he becomes President he will of course divest all himself of those assets into a blind trust and resign from all boards. Nice to have a President with some actual business experience rather then 24 years feeding at the public trough with no idea how business actually works. No problem there.

"He wants to cut taxes because of the budget surplus, which has been greatly exaggerated by both sides, and then spend more money than is in the actual surplus on government programs."

>>In its original analysis released on August 18, NTUF estimated that Presidential hopeful Al Gore's policy agenda would, if enacted in its entirety, increase federal spending by a grand total of $2.334 trillion over ten years. This amount would swallow all of the projected ten-year, non-Social Security federal budget surplus of $2.173 trillion

Today, thanks to new campaign-trail promises and more details on existing ones, NTUF now estimates that Gore's ten-year spending total has reached $3.195 trillion, over $1 trillion more than the Congressional Budget Office's "on-budget" surplus projection for the next decade. It is also twice the reputed "cost" of Bush's tax cut plan, which Gore derides as "risky."

"His environmental record in Texas is far from flattering, and he has no problem with opening up national parks or natural reserves to oil"

He has improved the environment in Texas. There is no problem with responsible drilling in sensitive areas. Companies have proven that with new techniques (horizontal drilling) that it can be done with minimal impact to the land. What has been proven is that it can take years to bring on line new sources of oil. We as a nation are still dependent on oil and even with the new conversation methods it will be years before we can wean ourselves off of it. If OPEC or a war in the Middle East disrupts supplies we would be in serious difficulties. It is better to have our own supplies then be dependent on foreign oil.

The only thing scary is if Gov. Bush is not elected tomorrow.

Also would like to point out that both Gore and Bush went to Yale and Harvard. I believe Bush recieved better grades than Gore did. I'm not sure why people think Gore is so smart, he's basically a "cliff claven" talking about crap he really doesn't know anything about.

We'll have an imbecile for president no matter who wins.

Al Gore: is that a man or a statue?

G.W. Bush: he makes Dan Quayle look like Teddy Roosevelt.

The fact that he is a follower of Ronald Regan's trickle down theory. Give the rich people enough money and some of it going to fall out of their pockets for us poor folk. Gasoline will be 5 dollars a gallon.Drug price will be so high that people won't be able to afford medicine. He and his buddy are beholding to so many companies, they will have to give out numbers to get in line for the paybacks. Bill Gates needs another 100 billion dollars and he is going to get it.

"Once he becomes President he will of course divest all himself of those assets into a blind trust and resign from all boards."

Ah, Etech, unless the 'blind trust' is told to cash in all his investments & then re-invest that money other ways, Bush will still know what companies he has an investment in, whether he manages the trust or not.

This was shown, here in Australia, where the Western Australian Small business minister blocked legislation, that would protect (well to a certain extent) small business owners from greedy landlords increasing rents beyond reason. Well it turned out he owned (or part owned) all these shopping centres. When it came out in parliment, he said that's irrelivent because they are in a blind trust, then it rturned out that even though they were in a blind trust, he still knew exactly what he had investments in.

Gore has gotten a crap load of money from special interest and big bussiness. If he wins he'll be beholden to the same damn corporations that W will supposely be. Wait til he drives the cost of Gasoline up so his Occidental stock triples overnight. He has alot to gain from high gas prices. Gore is greedy, people are just naive to believe he is doing it from the goodness of his heart.

GW certainly scares me,

He wants to steal less of my money, what am I going to do with it? I need the government to spend it for me.

He wants to make SocialSecurity a perpetual self funding program, how can I expect to burden all my children and generations to come unless I support stealing their money to fund myself?

He wants to keep the government out of the drug companies. Without the government setting guidelines on exactly how much they are allowed to make, they will fund further research and be able to cure even MORE diseases and illnesses. Clearly we can't stnad for that.

He supports drilling in the National parks, if we do too much of this we may not be dependant on other countries with a loathing of us. Not only that, without the oil spiking constantly poor people may be able to afford to keep their children warm and drive them to the hospital when they need medical attention.

He wants to give vouchers to minorities and the poor to get a better education. Do we want these people to break free from the poverty we have worked so long to put them in? Do you want to have people who were poor at some point in their life living next to you? With GW's education plans that could be a reality. Al Gore keeps us safe from this, we can continue to send our kids to private schools just like Al and keep the trash away from us which GW doesn't even do. What kind of a man sends his kids to the schools he supposedly supports? Can't trust someone like that.

Scary mofo if you ask me.

Just remember all those poor Hollyweird stars that are leaving the country if Bush gets elected. Boohoohoo. Now there's a big loss to the country.

Hell that alone is about enough to get him elected in a landslide.
