why free tibet?

Now if "free Tibet" happened, then the next logical step is "free East Turkmenistan" (Xingjiang)
After that would be "free Taiwan"
Followed by "free Hong Kong"

....
In the end the commies would be stuck in that famous 1/2 of a room (broom closet) named "People's Republic of China" somewhere in the Forbidden Palace

no, because the mongols took over china during the Qing dynasty.

this is how i see it. if your country got invaded and was taken over couple of centries ago, you belong to that empire, unless you revolt or or fight for your country back.

Tibet did revolt and fight for their country back, thats why China had the brutal crackdown.

The PRC was founded in 1949.
In my book every historic argumentation why Tibet should be a part of today's China fails.

Mongolians weren't the same people as the Han Chinese which is the most common ethnicity in the PRC today.

Actually there are about 8000 Tibetian refugees in Switzerland. It's sad that they had to flee from their homeland... I hope this never happens to me

Mongolians should have invaded China before Qing dynasty
When Mongolian ruled over China the Dynasty was called Yuen

The dynasty after that was Ming, then final dynasty was Qing
