It's like this scenerio: when an important client needs work done on saturday at 8pm at night, the boss isn't going to send a recent CS grad (or inexperienced papered warrior) to fix an established client's network. The boss will call in his most experienced team or shop leader. The same applies with $50,000 hardware. Common sense.

$50,000 hardware is easy to come by. Any Tom, Dick, or Harry can admin it. That's the cheap stuff.

Don't be biased against age, I've been the "go to man" in plenty of BIG crisises with ENTERPRISE level hardware for long enough. Personal attacks aren't a good example of the logic you claim to be using.

Seems like this thread has deviated from the original topic, but I just saw Jeremy's article and politely handed his ass to him on his own forum. I have clearly explained everything such that the logic should penetrate even his head.

I wrote it before I saw this thread, I wouldn't have written it if I had seen that people already told him how it works.

Oh, the irony.

Excerpt from "Cascading Style Sheets: The Definitive Guide" (Chap. 6, pg 130) :
Although you may be tempted to believe that text-align: center is the same as the < CENTER > element, it's actually quite different. < CENTER > affected not only the text, but also centered whole elements, such as tables. text-align does not control the alignment of elements, only their inline content. Figure 6-5 illustrates this clearly.

I urge you to please look at Figure 6-5.

 The OP is just trying to find fault in FF... I agree that IE is not that bad... but FF loads a lot faster and IS OPEN SOURCE.

OPEN SOURCE beats anything.

No he's not. He knows what he's doing and really doesn't care about firefox. Just how many people do you think have visited his main domain because of this?

Wow. I never thought of that. You're probably right. He's probably making bank from all those porn links on his front page because of his article and his retarted responses. That explains his retarted behavior.

No, he doesn't know what he's doing, as proven by MANY posters on this thread and the thread on his site.. unless you are saying that this is a ploy for him to get more people to visit his website, then he has done a good job.

Thats exactly what is going on. He comes in posting in hopes to get hits on his site. Otherwise he would have just stated his reasons for IE being better, he wouldnt of stated why FF users "suck" lol.

I use IE, never had a spyware problem, i keep it updated, stay behind a hardware firewall, and all is well.

I played with FF for a day, i liked it, but it didnt provide much of an advantage for the small browsing and downloading that I do.

i wont go look at that guys site, i could care less what some dude says about a Browser. Its a browser!

The sad thing is that the poor people using IE to visit the OP's site probably got tons of spyware installed ;)

Like mentioned above, it is possible to use IE without getting spyware, but a lot of people don't know how to be so secure yet. This is the reason for open source FF so that bugs can be found and fixed quickly.

I thought you guys were joking that is porn, lol. What a loser, i'm using FF right now and love it never go back to IE. With IE i'd run Adware and Spy bot search and destroy a couple times a week, with FF i don't even bother any more. And with the page that is suppose to be center in FF doesn't even have the

<center>

anywhere in the source code, why dont you go learn html dumbass.

EDIT: Should really read my post before i post it :)

You obviously understand about as much about CSS as the OP does. ;)

<center> is not needed if you do the CSS right, as he didn't. CSS rocks, why not learn it - it's not hard. :)

I like them both (IE and FF) I would use firefox 100% of the time if I didnt find the small problems ive been finding browsing, a couple sites i go to are broken up from FF and a few other sites have menus and wrong spot, small things like that, that im sure will be fixed in the future.
