Why Firebird rules (browser, car ain't bad either though)

Cos it does

I put "Arctic Alumina Thermal Adhesive" in the URL bar, took me straight to the arctic silver page for the product.
The same thing on IE5 takes me to MSN search, then gives me a load of URL's, none of which were the official page.

Cut down any search time I would have otherwise had to waste. It rules.

IE works just fine for me. several pages i vistited werent laid out correctly in firebird.

I just hate that some places don't work right with it. "Must have IE to work correctly!" Blah.

actually, it's the other way around. they aren't laid out correctly to begin with, and IE doesn't care, whereas firebird is completely up to standard.

It's not IE's fault that you don't know how to change IE's search options.

BTW... I'm using Firebird on my main computer, was wondering if it would run smoothly on a laptop with a P2 366 Mhz with 256 MB RAM?

I've decided not to use Firebird anymore... it crashes at very unusual times, and IE never does... so... bye bye Firebird... nice try Mozilla people =)

Firerbird is 100 times faster for me than IE ever was, plus IE has crashed non-stop for me lately. Firebird hasn't so far ...

I really like Firebird too, but as some people have complained (in an earlier thread) it can be a bit of a resource hog. I get out of memory messages much more often now.

Still, it crashes much less often than IE. IE was awful in my experience.

Google can find that same page. For those that complain that IE is slower than mozilla/firebird/whatevercrap, your Internet connection is to slow and so is your PC.

google toolbar does it for me, too bad that google doesnt care enough about firebird users to make them a toolbar

So? the point is that it failed to display it while IE can.
I've tried both. I tried Firebird for about two months, didn't like it that much. It started up slower than IE

2.2 Ghz athlon XP, 768 MB of ram..
firebird is still faster for me the IE.
