Package not due for delivery. Called and asked WTF that means, considering that the thing was THERE on Sunday. CSR told me that there were other more important packages to deliver and that it was not due for delivery. Nice, I'll remember that next time I choose a shipping method. At least with USPS, I know that if it makes it to the delivery driver, they will attempt to deliver and I will not get that lame excuse.

Hey ding-dong, it never MADE it to the delivery driver. Other packages took precedence over yours for making it to the driver.

Yes, this is absolutely correct. Based on your singular experience, the entire company does, indeed, suck.

If you wanted it earlier, you should have paid for faster shipping.

Fedex started doing this a while back. (Not always but more often than not) People started to realize that you could ship something 3-day and have it delivered in 1 or 2 days. More and more people started shipping this way which cut into Fedex's revenues. Then people, like you, started complaining even though Fedex is providing the service contracted for.

Nice, start with the name calling. Look buddie, I called, it made it to the driver. Read what I said, the CSR said the driver had other "more important" packages to deliver today.

BTW Amish, I said USPS not UPS.

Russ, why not ship me a package to deliver for you. You'll know that I got it, but I won't deliver it for a few days because I have other things "more important" to do.

Bozo, you missed the point. It's here....5 miles from my house and has been there since Sunday. Do you know what service I paid for?

Guess none of you flamers have ever felt frustrated by something that was totally out of your control?

My reply didn't have anything to do with that.

I was simply stating that Fedex is better than UPS.

I suggest you resort to the slaying of kittens.

Works for 98% of the population here.

BTW, I consider this to be something like an AMD thread that goes something like this:

"Why AMD sucks

I got my TBird 1000 & it won't OC to 1400! I hate AMD now!"

Obviously not one that would have had your package delivered today since it says: Package not due for delivery . :)

I've had the package not due for delivery also. It was express saver or whatever it's called. I knew it wasn't due until the day after so I shrugged and went on. It's annoying but I can't always expect it earlier than I paid for. Besides I like the fact that Fedex has you sign for the package(s).

Bingo!

They are obviously delivering packages that are guaranteed to arrive by their due date. If yours was due by today, then they wouldnt have said that and the package would be there. Since you obviously didnt get a faster service, those packages guaranteed to arrive on time take precedence over yours.

sheesh.

If they sent your package next day, then you have a gripe. But if your package was sent 2 or 3 day service, then that is what you get. All the major carriers do this that offer tierred service. The guy who sent it next day for twice the money should get his package first. That's the way it is.

UPS is way better here. FedEx sucks. UPS is always on time and the driver is curteous, FedEx is always late and the drivers are rude.

They do this more times then not if the truck is full or going to a place with a lot of packages, say to a college post office.

But they are methodical and will get you your package, they could of just made you wonder why it wasn't being delivered, but they told you not due for delivery.

But if you must, go try ups, you might like them.

Yeah dude, if you PAID for next day and you didn't get it next day then bitch all you want. But if you PAID for 2-day or 3-day then Fedex has every right to hold the package.

Besides, can't you just go pickup the package if you need it that bad and it is only five miles from your house?

The thing is, people, is that FedEx gets the package (this is on some occasions), COULD deliver it, but chooses not to because it isn't guaranteed service like overnight, etc. It's not that FedEx has other packages to ship, it's the fact that they HAVE the package, COULD deliver it early without any problems, but doesn't. That being said, I still have no problem with that policy, because I really don't expect much more out of package delivery services anymore.

couldn't have said it better myself.. every time i choose shipping, i try to pick FEDEX.. they always seem to be the cheapest, and i get the parcels like within 3 days.. I like Fedex alot. UPS charged me $36 for shipping on a CPU cooler from KDcomputers.com.. they can go eat sh!t !!!!

Ok, I will support Mr-evil a little (but only a little)..The one thing that I do like about Fed-Ex is that if I happen to not be home when they attempt to deliver (sometimes they seem to not attempt), I know that later that same evening I can go down to the local Fed-Ex distro center and pick up my goodies. Still kind of a hassle since I paid for delivery to ME, but at least I still get my package that day. Have been using USPS for personal shipping lately with good results.

Ahh don't worry, most of these guys are really cool. You just got to get to understand their character. They just try to be @ssholes to newbies for a little powertrip or something. Mostly in a sarcastic manner. :)

The "why don't you go pick it up theory" doesn't hold either. Until they attempt to make a deliver, I cannot attempt to pick it up. I forgot to mention that I saw the lovely FedEx guy leaving my subdivision as I was getting home....which is really what frustrated me. Guess he'll have to make two trips out here...one tomorrow and one Wednesday.

Viper, since it is off-topic, I'll slay your kittens for you.

BTW, where in here did I ever state that I needed it today? My point was, if it was there, why didn't they try to deliver it? Now, maybe the rest of you can continue to argue on whether or not the glass was half-full or half-empty. That and if I'm a newbie, WTH is everyone else who posted here? I've been around as long as any of them......just because I don't feel the need to make 10 posts a day doesn't make me a newbie....
