I only wear stockings when playing roller derby, and that is just to avoid rink rash. I don't wear them often regularly because it is usually not cold enough to wear them and they are a pain in the ass to maintain.

They recently adjusted the dress code at work so that socks/hosiery were optional for women. Been nothing but nasty bare feet and sandals ever since.

Such a shame really. Granted, a woman's role isn't so much just being eye candy anymore, but the elegance of a women in a tasteful dress is lost in today's society.
