I don't know, why don't you direct this at Citroen and ask them, since you know its their decision.

At least we're getting the 500 and likely will see some better small cars in the future.

citroen do not meet our emission standards, plus they are unreliable pieces of shit.
I'd take an unreliable car over an ugly one any day. At least that Citroen looks good while it sits uselessly in your drive way or on the side of the road, however, those Dodge POS is just an eye sore.

Pretty car with soul that may not work every day > ugly pos that always works.

I love Citroens. They are a great company with very reliable diesels. Their new styling is very appealing. I love their Hydropneumatic suspension. There is like no other. It is better than that fucking fatass Lexus LS460.

My friend's father owns a 2000 Citroen Xantia 2.1 diesel, and it gets impressive 61mpg at 90kph. Great car.

GTI, Mazda 3, Volvo C3, Fiesta, WRX are it that category and they are probably much cheaper than the Citrogen. The DS3 model (or whatever) that was on Top Gear tonight was 23k GBP, which is ridiculous ~ 38.6k here. You could buy a Camaro SS, Mustang GT, Challenger, G35, 370z, etc for that price: of course you'll lose practicality but that's a small price to pay.

Sure you would. If you rely on it to get to work and back, I'm sure you'd just love to have an unreliable vehicle.

IMO, the Citroen isn't good looking either. I'm not a fan of this cross of a fish and bug look that a bunch of cars have these days, particularly the smaller ones. No thank you. I find the Caliber a little less repulsive.

We've pretty well got the FWD hatches covered already. Wasn't the case ~5 years ago, but it's really decent now. As mentioned, we have the 500, which apparently is a better driver's car than the Citroen anyway.

i've been seeing scant but somewhat regular commercials for the fiat 500 (in tennessee no less). is that not a pretty similar vehicle, especially, you know, when you make a comparison to dodge?

have yet to see one on the road. anyone know who's selling them? haven't seen any fiat signs cropping up...

I have seen a few here in Indianapolis and a bunch in south beach Miami when I was there last month.

I am so glad to see Fiat back in the states. We had three fiats in the 80s. My favorite was this brava rally edition.

we had the two door and that thing was so much fun to wind out.

that's cool, glad that they're selling somewhere. it's a damn good car for a lot of people, and should do well given that the versa, fit, and other somewhat roomy subcompacts have been pretty successful (my versa was a way better 'people carrier' than my mazda3).

where is carmel indiana? my mom is from covington, a little town about an hour north of terre haute and somewhat close to indianapolis.

No, they get crap like this:

See how easy it is to pick two random cars and make a meaningless comparison and then draw a conclusion that means even less?

Carmel is about 20 mins north of Indianapolis proper. Covington indiana is a hourish away west from indianapolis if I remember correctly.

I wish we could get Vauxhalls here too

Good to see you enjoy your marketing job at Citroen.

Nah, I am not a marketer, but I do like their cars. My only wish is to get a Citroen C5 or Peugeot 508 and import it in US...
