I'd guess it's either:

a) an exclusive deal with taco bell
b) they tested it out in limited markets and the sales volume wasn't enough to make it worth a national launch

was "big blue" one of those 4 flavors that came out like 2 years ago? I've never heard of it.

Baja Blast is delicious, but when I told my friends, none of them wanted to try a blue mountain dew drink. Their loss.

In other news, I saw some Code Red for the first time in a while on sale at my grocery store. I bought 24 cans. :) Kinda wish Livewire was still around, though... that was pretty delicious.

Taco Bell is owned by Yum! Foods which was a spin-off from PepsiCo. They have a lifetime contract with PepsiCo.

Livewire IS around, in select markets. It's in Miami "proper" (aka Cuba/Venezuela/Colombia/Haiti, pretty much no place for a porky white guy who doesn't understand a word of Espanol) for sure, as when we last went to the datavault colo we hit a gas station and i enjoyed a Livewire for the first time in years. Broward sucks...... Willing to bet its in NYC or Philly.

Baja Blast is so delicious. I wish it was sold seperately...

But if it was, then I'd never go to Taco Bell again. Maybe that is the reason?

My many at-home experiments haven't come up with a pseudo Baja Blast recipe, but I find that mixing blue powerade with mountain due has been the closest.

I wish they would. It's the only reason I go to taco bell sometimes...

Wow, I just simply can't drink a lot of soda anymore. When I think about this and how I used to drink a 32oz at a fast food restaurant... I don't know. I just can't do that anymore. oh crap I have bread in the toaster.

So I guess I'm not the only dude who thinks Taco Bell has awesome drinks and shit food.

the food isn't so bad if you go once in a while and you have no real mexican food around (crunchwrap supreme is pretty delicious), but when you have Chipotle, MexiCali, and a million other more authentic mexican food carts/holes in the wall in a 10 block radius Taco Bell is one of the last considerations you want to make for food.

But they have delicious fountain drinks, strangely enough :awe:

Wish I could find Baja Blast as well. My last trip to Taco Bell sucked. The syrup was low on the Baja Blast, and it tasted icky. :(
