I do as well Techie333, but Nintendo will never let their cash crop out on the PC, if they did, it would be the end of their console IMO :)

Nintendo goes to greater lengths to avoid piracy.
Gamecube still isn't hacked. You can't tell me that it hasn't been tried.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

There is no copy protection whatsoever on the GC, just the size of the media. No modding necessary. In fact, you can take off the outside case and use full size DVD-R's..

You CAN buy mini-DVD-r's too.

Nuff said.

None of you have any idea what you're talking about. The DVD media used in GC is of proprietary format, thus can't be reproduced by any known DVD burners.

I don't claim to know anything about Gamecube hacking, but getting a cd to record from the outside in isn't exactly hard. All you'd have to do is generate a cd image, then write a program in to break that file up into CD-sector sized segments, then reverse the order of the segments. (inserting "blank" sectors as appropriate if the image wouldn't normally fill the medium). And there you have it, a cd recorded from the outside in.

Oh and if that's not enough, you could even write the program to reverse the contents of the sectors bit/byte/word-wise. That way the drive could actually read from the outside in.

If it's so easy, why don't you do it? From the sound of your post, you could hack out a program to convert DVD images to gamecube format in an hour or two.

I have an emulator on my Palm Vx that will play the original GB Zelda. Pretty slick, but I have to OC it a little bit for it to run smooth.

There arent enough good games on GC to pirate anyway, why even bother? I can at least see why ppl do it on PS2 because of the sheer amount of library it has and the incredible amount of import games. I only bought a GC for those Nintendo games anyway, and they're far and few.

Same here, and I'm glad I did. It wasn't even that expensive. Love the WaveBird, BTW.
