Why don't people look up info before whining on Hotdeals threads?

Have you followed a Hotdeals thread recently? Most of the posts are from people too lazy to research the product, asking very basic questions. "Does the Raedon LE work with Win 2000?" Why not look up some reviews? And why would anyone buy someting when they don't have a clue about what they're purchasing? Even that's not as bad as the posts with "I can't find the rebate" when the link is there on the first post!

What gives Anandtechers?

I think all of us OTers have a general understanding of the general population in the HD forum... ;) i like the word general

No seriously, people ask some petty questions. All it takes is 3-5 minutes of looking something up, like "CAn I dUaL bo0t Win2K aNd MaC OSX? "

Those are the people who don't know what they are doing, and need someone to tell them everything. After all, if they took the time to research, they might miss out.

Between those people, and the ones who are self-appointed minimods, it makes it tough to hang in HD.

I personally think all the HD Ferengi's should get a slow arse p133 500mb server, while we keep the quad 1gig TBirds for the real forum, the OT (and FS/T :D))
