Why don't people install urinals in houses?

I mean, they use maybe at most a third of the water a conventional toliet uses. I mean granted it would need to be alongside a stall for the female types but I think we should start putting urinals in houses. That way, you save yourself on your water bill, and they're so convenient too.

Because 2 toilets are more expensive than one? I dunno. I always wanted one where I've lived. Makes aiming SOO much easier when you're drunk. :)

I'd say probably because having a urinal and a toilet is more expensive then having just a toilet, despite the fact that the toilet consumes more water.

How much would a urinal be? It would seem that after a few years it would repay itself, at the latest.

Urinals usually smell pretty bad, and there's always the issue of excess "drippage"

A better solution would be: In Australia the toilets have 2 buttons one for #1 and #2. The button for #1 uses about half the water as a full flush #2 button.

If you want to save water, learn and follow this motto:

If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down.

I went to the Keys for a couple of days in 6th grade and the tree-hugging counselors used the same motto. :)

Ther's no need to install a urinal. There's already one in every bathroom. It's called the 'sink'. :p

Its probably due to the fact that urinals are only manufactured for commercial use (translation more expensive.) I doubt that a urinal uses less water than a low flow residential toilet.

<< I bet you are trained to put down the seat too. ;-) >>

the seat down? when I pee? that's strange, because our pot doesn't have seat
