Why don't people hack Al-Queda sites?

Just wondering. The news keeps reporting all the garbage that the rowdy saudis post on their site. I'm surprised someone has hacked their site and stolen Bin Ladin's credit card number 😀 But seriously, why not go after their websites?

Notice that the eagle in the upper left hand corner of the PNA website looks suspiciously like the Iraqi Federal Eagle?

Al Aqsa My ass! ...Al Iraqi is more like it!

Some guy in the states actually did a while ago. It was on the news.

He was some porn guy (actually credited with starting the voyeur wife and home movie on the internet stuff IIRC) who was really good with computers. He hacked into an Al Qaeda site, took control over it, and was just reading what was going on. He even posted a few fraudulent messages that got the guys to do some things. He told the FBI about it, but they didn't think it was that big of a deal. Al Qaeda finally caught on and I think they shut down the site.

On Inside Edition, I think, there was a porn site operator who did hack one of their sites. It did not last for long as they have hackers and computer literate members as well.

He didnt actually hack it, their registration expired and he jumped on the domain. It only took a few days for the web surfing terrorists to realize that they were visiting the wrong website. The taliban's website did get hacked last year by some Russians, they properly defaced it and left a fitting message for the owners.

Actually I have read several times over that the FBI/CIA strongly discourage hacking terrorist related sites because it can often jeopardize their objectives and ruin several man hours of work. Trust me, they're watching/monitoring, and gathering information. The more chatter these guys do, the better chance of them leading themselves to their own downfall.

true that...CIA/FBI guys probably already have hacked into their sites, and are monitoring everything.

Exactly...

I saw the report about the porn guy as well... and the CIA strongly discourages people from acting this way because it would actually be interfering with their work... You might hack a website that the CIA has been getting valuable information from...

Why don't THEY hack our American sites?

P.S. Last night, I hacked and defaced 4 sites until I realized they were all running on 127.0.0.1

😱😕
