Why don't more video cards have more then one fan?

My last video card fried cause the fan had died on it and I didn't know about it.
I just ran across this and was wondering why more video ($$$$) cards don't have more then one fan? this

Even one of my chipsets fried when the fan died on it.

It's making me want to replace my fans every six months or so.

What's YOUR opinion on this?

Please shoot.

Firstly, most video cards will give you enough warning (hard locks, corruption, etc) that if the fan does fail you should be able to save it.

Secondly, more fans = more money.

And finally - as evidenced by the widespread mockery of the FlowFX cooling system, people (generally) don't like big noisy cooling systems.

No fans are desirable and if a part absolutely requires active cooling in the worst case scenario then a larger high quality fan that will run for many years is much better then those dinky noisy ones that fail after a few months.

mine gave me warnings i guess, but by then it was toooo late. i wish the case was true where the fan was high quality on my Creative nVidia card. oh well.
