Why don't Americans follow hockey?

Other than Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Americans don't follow hockey.

Despite the Kings, Rangers being in big market teams.

Hockey players are usually quiet, reserved, don't discuss politics and cultural issues like football, basketball and baseball players.

Why don't Americans give hockey more props?

Lack of accessibility to playing(both financial and infrastructure). Lack of exposure.

Regular season...well...players aren't going all out because it is a marathon.
