I have 3 external USB drives. Whenever I plug one in Windows 7 shows in the bottom right system tray that it is installed but does not show up in My Computer.
I then have to right click on My Computer and click on Manage, click on Disk Management. It shows up there but has no driver letter. I then have to click on the drive and assign it a drive letter. It then shows up in My Computer.
This happens to any one of the three externals, two are Samsungs and one is a Western Digitai.
Any ideas why Windows doesnt assign it a drive letter when I plug any of the drives in ?
