Why doesn't the cerbellum cancel out sensory input from masturbation before it can reach the somatosensory cortex?

Obviously the sensory inputs from masturbation, when masturbating yourself, are extremely predictable. I can't seem to understand why the cerebellum will cancel out sensory inputs from tickling yourself, yet, self masturbation (which is much more predictable) is not cancelled out at all.

Doesn't it make it that much more intelligent? Imagine a world without masturbation, the consequences would be dire -- especially for ATers.

Evolution. The man who feels pleasure from masturbation is better at sex, and therefore, more likely to reproduce.

Isn't masturbation more mental? I mean, you can stroke and stroke, but your mind has to be in it for it to work.

I wonder if the same works for tickling? If I think someone else is tickling me, could I tickle myself?

Because the Hebrew God had to punish Onan for spilling his seed on the ground instead of in his brother's wife. Duh.

if identical twins have sex w/ each other, does it count as masturbation cuz you're the same person?? i mean...you have the same genetical makeup...

this question is only pointed towards female twins...hot ones...with nice bodies...

Clearly, the church got it wrong...god's totally cool with masturbation...but god DOES NOT APPROVE of self tickling. :D

The laughing response from tickling is a fight/flight response (IIRC)

The same does not hold true for masterbation.

some charming replies here lol;) the thing is, we're built to build up tension, and know how to relieve it... periodically and continually. i dont believe we are the only animals in the animal kingdom to do so by far.

Males are preoccupied with the concept of self induced triggering of the relief valve on the swinging extendable battering ram.

Certainly true.. but a visually appealing external trigger is preferred by a significant margin.
