I don't normally use it but when I enabled inline autocomplete it's working fine here for me. Maybe check here... http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q230592

"RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, enable or disable either of the features listed above so that both are either enabled or disabled: 1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, click to select or clear either of the following check boxes:

? Use inline AutoComplete for Web addresses
? Use inline AutoComplete in Windows Explorer
Make sure that either both check boxes are cleared or that both check boxes are selected.
4. Click OK. "

Where the heck is "AutoComplete in Windows Explorer" option under IE?!

Try in 'Tools | Content | Auto Complete | Settings' and make sure everything is checked and try it again. I'm using IE7 beta 2 so it might not be exactly that wording but I know there's some auto complete stuff under the content tab. Not sure if that's what they're talking about though as it's in IE rather than Explorer options. Rather confusing... 😕
